How To Back Up Your Registry In XP

Steps:-

  1. Click on your Start button in the bottom right hand corner of your desk top. This opens the Start Menu.

  3. Click on “File” in the upper right hand corner. Next, select "Export Registry File" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Choose the location to which you want to save your Registry’s back up. Give the back up file a name and then click on "Save." Close the Registry - and you are done!
  5. If you need to restore your registry, simply navigate back to your back up file and double click on it. Click OK.
